About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and diligent intern to support the Programme Quality Team (PQT), a group of 20 senior experts in women’s economic empowerment, inclusive governance, gender, resilience and shelter, alongside MEL experts and business management support.

This is a great time to join PQT. Our team is at the heart of CARE International UK’s new strategy for the delivery of high quality and impactful programming within CARE. This post is central to ensuring that CARE’s learning and impact is communicated clearly and shared effectively. The role will support the development of a new knowledge management platform, focusing on two areas of CARE’s programming: women’s economic empowerment and inclusive governance.

About You

You are a passionate and experienced international development worker or funding specialist, with field and/or HQ experience in institutional funding and a very good knowledge of our key donors’ requirements (DFID and EC), in particular in relation to commercial contracts and large tenders and consortia grants. You have the ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams during proposal preparation, working with partners and colleagues in multiple locations. You have experience in and very good understanding of development programme design. You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You are capable of building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; you are a positive collaborator and a strong team player.
