The Head of Programme Management is a new position within CARE International UK (CIUK) responsible for building and maintaining a strategic portfolio of programming from across its institutional, trusts and foundations donor base spanning both development and humanitarian response. The post holder will be expected to grow CIUK’s overall funding from these sources to enable the organisation to fulfil its ambitions to play a key role in delivering on the CARE International Global Programme Strategy (2015-2020).
About you
We are looking for a dynamic professional who has excellent understanding of, and a strong track record of success in, the UK as well as the European funding environment. The post holder will manage a sizeable team of fundraisers, programme and contract managers with a primary focus on sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. Direct experience of having worked in one or more of these contexts with a good grounding in both development and humanitarian response is a requirement of this role.
About CARE
CARE International UK’s Strategic Plan identifies its core areas of focus. Working with the Women Economic Empowerment, Inclusive Governance and Humanitarian teams the Programme Management team will be responsible for aligning funding with these core areas of focus as well as working to mobilise resources for other core strands of CARE International’s global priorities. Reinforcing our relations and increasing funding from key donors, particularly DFID, will be undertaken in association with technical teams as well as the new Strategic Funding and Partnerships team
