About the role
As part of CARE’s Private Sector Engagement (PSE) team, you will primarily be responsible for strengthening and deepening strategic relationship with GSK UK and in-country GSK GMs for further growth and scale-up. The engagement with GSK includes management of high-quality partnership projects, guiding and coordinating the work of Country Offices across Asia and Africa, raising profile of partnership through national and international media coverage and events, providing financial oversight and management, leading partnership knowledge management and dissemination, and ensuring effective quality control on the financial and narrative information for each project. You will work closely with colleagues in CARE UK, CARE USA and Country Offices in Asia and Africa and have the opportunity to see the end results for yourself by visiting our programmes overseas.
Our team is at the forefront of working with business and we are driving the strategy for CARE’s global Private Sector Engagement. We will also contribute to the strengthening of CARE’s approach to Sexual, Reproductive and Maternal Health (SRMH), which aims to reach and enable 100 million women and young girls to exercise their rights to sexual, reproductive and maternal health by 2020.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience of project and/or account management in a development context, combined with an impressive background in relationship management of major corporate partners, proven budget management, and excellent communication and team working skills. An understanding of global public health issues and how the private sector operates and its role within international development is also desired.
